Eating disorders (QS175)

This NICE quality standard was published in September 2018 and covers the assessment, treatment, monitoring and care for children, young people and adults with an eating disorder. It describes high-quality care in priority areas for improvement. It makes six statements on:

  • Assessment and treatment timeframes
  • Discussion between patients and HCPs about their options for psychological treatment.
  • Guided self-help programmes
  • Bulimia-nervosa-focussed family therapy (FT-BN)
  • Care plans for patients being supported by more than one service
  • Risk assessment for patients moving between services
