CG185 Bipolar disorder: assessment and management

This NICE guideline was updated in February 2020 and covers the recognition, assessment and treatment of bipolar disorder in children, young people and adults. It aims to improve quality of life and access to treatment for people with bipolar disorder. It makes 11 recommendations that apply to bipolar I, bipolar II, mixed affective and rapid cycling disorders. These recommendations cover recognition and management in adults in primary care, assessment and management in adults in secondary care and promoting recovery, as well as management in children and young people.
