CHRE creates free resources for smoking cessation during COVID-19
The Centre for Health Research and Education (CHRE) is a healthcare company working to bridge the policy-practice gap in smoking cessation. This involves helping healthcare professionals support smokers to quit smoking and support ex-smokers to prevent them from relapsing back to smoking. They have created two A4 infographics for helping people to quit during COVID-19: one is a tool for healthcare professionals in Mental Health sector, which details how to provide behavioural support, as well as medication and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products available. The other is a self-help tool for patients themselves that explains why to quit during COVID-19, what they can do to control cravings and how to access various treatments and support available to them. These posters can be used to empower mental health professionals and their patients with up-to-date practical advice on smoking cessation.
Both posters are available for download here.
