Flu Plan for Winter 2014/15 (NHS England)

The Flu Plan sets out a coordinated and evidence-based approach to managing the demands of flu, in particular the flu vaccination programme.

Vulnerable patient groups are identified for vaccination, and it is recommended that all frontline healthcare workers and carers be vaccinated.

Respiratory and hand hygiene should be encouraged, particularly during an outbreak of flu, to prevent infection spreading.

Flu vaccination normally commences in September when stocks become available. Orders can be pre-booked from Ashtons to ensure supplies are obtained in a timely manner.
