New high dose antipsychotic training seminar
We have just launched a new addition to our Clinical Training Seminar Programme.
The high dose antipsychotic treatment (HDAT) seminar discusses the rationale for high dose antipsychotic use, monitoring requirements and professional responsibilities in ensuring high dose treatment is appropriate in terms of patient diagnosis, evidence base and guidance provided by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The session is 30-40 minutes long and aims to understand the definition of HDAT, its place in practice, professional responsibility for prescribing HDAT and the monitoring requirements for patients affected.
This training is essential, as it is important that healthcare staff are aware of their responsibilities when it comes to prescribing and monitoring for a HDAT patient.
This seminar is included in the allocation of courses that hospitals can choose from within the Ashtons Portfolio of Training.
