MIB238 Evoke Spinal Cord Stimulator for managing chronic neuropathic or ischaemic pain

In Clinical Guidelines, Conditions, NICE guidelines

This NICE medtech innovation briefing on the Evoke Spinal Cord Stimulator System was published in December 2020. The system is used for managing chronic neuropathic or ischaemic pain and is innovative in that it uses a ‘closed-loop’ feedback control. The evidence discussed in the briefing comes from two studies which show that Evoke is more effective than open-loop spinal cord stimulation in people with intractable back and leg pain.
