NG187 COVID-19 rapid guideline: vitamin D

In Clinical Guidelines, Conditions, COVID-19, NICE guidelines

This NICE guideline was published in December 2020 and covers the use of vitamin D in the context of COVID-19, for adults, young people and children in both hospitals and community settings. It makes three recommendations including encouraging people to follow UK government advice on taking a vitamin D supplement to maintain bone and muscle health. It also advises that a vitamin D supplement should not be offered to people solely to prevent or treat COVID-19, except as part of a clinical trial.
