Helping you meet the latest requirements for substance misuse services

In Improving Compliance, Medicines Management Processes, Pharmacy Information, Regulations and Standards

In July 2015, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) followed up its ‘fundamental standards’ by publishing a provider handbook for specialist substance misuse services.

This has resulted in more challenging inspections for many providers. With the CQC now also publishing inspection ratings, it is more important than ever to take steps to help ensure you achieve compliance when inspected.

We will use our 25 years of experience to help you understand how compliant your services are in relation to medicines management. We will provide you with guidance and support to help you remain compliant under the new, more stringent regulatory requirements.

There are four broad areas in which we can help your organisation:

  • Medicines management processes– ensuring these are effective and efficient, enhancing your performance and promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Improving CQC compliance– enhancing compliance by working with you to improve clinical quality throughout your organisation.
  • Developing your team– effectively aiding your team’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and supporting your compliance goals by ensuring training is easily accessible.
  • Simplifying product supply transforming the efficiency and effectiveness of your product supply by procuring the medication you need for either Named Patient or stock orders.

For more information on how we can assist with your regulatory compliance and enhance the quality of care in your organisation, please call us on 0845 222 3550 or email us at info@ahps.co.uk
