Maintaining a Healthy Weight (NG7)

 In NICE guidelines

Recommends behaviours to maintain a healthy weight and prevent excess weight gain. Being overweight increases physical and mental health risks.

NG7 encourages:

  • people to make changes to exercise and diet
  • physical activity and good dietary habits
  • people to monitor their own weight and associated behaviours
  • promoting the benefits of a healthy weight
  • tailoring messages to specific groups
