In Developing your Team, MRHA News and Safety Alerts

The MHRA have added the topic of “Antipsychotics” to their portfolio of e-learning, which is available at no charge from the MHRA website.

Previous topics have included SSRI Antidepressants, Opioids, Pharmacovigilence, Clinical Observations, and Managing Medical Equipment.

The antipsychotic module focusses on the safe use of these medicines and discusses the main risks and how the risks can be reduced. In particular, it identifies possible drug interactions, risks with elderly patients, parenteral use (RT and depot), and clozapine.

It takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete, although it can be done in more than one sitting.
