NICE Clinical Guideline (CG 127) on Hypertension

Clinical staff measuring blood pressure need adequate training and should have their performance reviewed.

Advice on the correct method of taking an accurate reading is given.

Devices for measuring blood pressure must be validated, maintained and regularly recalibrated according to the manufacturer.
