NPC Guidance for Controlled Drugs Accountable Officers

 In Clinical Guidelines, NPC Guidance

All regulated healthcare providers must have an Accountable Officer responsible for the safe and secure use of controlled drugs.

A handbook has been produced by the National Prescribing Centre (NPC) to provide comprehensive guidance for Accountable Officers.

Note for our hospital clients:  Prescriptions for private (non-NHS) patients must be written on FP10PCD forms (not the Ashtons Order Form) which are available from PCTs.
