This Nice quality standard was published in September 2017 and covers ‘assessing, diagnosing and managing physical health problems of adults aged 18 years and older in prisons or young offender institutes.’

This Nice quality standard makes five statements on:

  • Medicines reconciliation
  • Second-stage health assessment
  • Blood-borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections
  • Lead care coordinator
  • Medicines on transfer or discharge
