The Health and Safety (Sharp Instruments in Healthcare) Regulations 2013 was introduced in May 2013 and among many things requires that hospitals have special sharps bins and instructions on how to safely dispose of needles so that the risk of a sharps injury is as low as possible.

Ideally, the most effective way to prevent exposure to sharps injury is to cut out any unnecessary injections, but the next effective as stated by the Royal College of Nurses (RCN) is to have safer needle devices and sharps containers. Hence, why we feel sharps bins are essential to busy hospital environments and why we want to offer better value for money on them.

We are now running a promotion campaign offering new products, lower prices and fantastic new bulk buy discounts on products we have selected as important for hospitals to carry out their day to day activities.

The other range of products we have specifically looked at to offer better value for money on are:

  • Gloves
  • Needles
  • Sharps bins
  • First aid kits
  • Resuscitation response kits
  • Aprons
  • Wipes
  • Paper/ pulp products
  • Laundry products
